- 40% of us browse business websites on our phones.
- 24% of mobile users intentionally carry their mobile phones for in-store price comparisons (Google Engage).
- Only 17% of all advertisers have a mobile optimised site but 28% of users are purchasing products from smart phones (Google).
- 71% of Internet – connected 16 to 24 year olds used mobile broadband (Office for National Statistics).
- Around 12% of traffic within the online travel and finance industries is through mobile devices (Google Engage).
- In August 2011, mobile browsing represented 7.1% of all worldwide browsing activity (Americamobi).
- Mobile now accounts for 12.59% of UK web traffic (Tecmark).
- 17.6 million phone Internet users (45% of Internet users) used a mobile phone to connect to the Internet compared with 8.5 million (23%) in 2009 (Office for National Statistics).
- Approximately 1 in 4 of mobile users expect to access the web from their device at least once a day (Americamobi).
- In July 2011, 20 million UK mobile Internet users (Google).
